Viktor's Vision
"As an Electrical and Computer Engineer pursuing my Master's in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Waterloo, my vision is to use technology to transform Canadian sports. Too often, athletes, teams, and schools feel they need to leave their communities or join larger programs just to gain the exposure they deserve.
Through VESP and my work in AI, my goal is to change that — to give athletes a platform where their talent is visible, their games are accessible, and their communities are connected. By combining digital scorekeeping, livestreaming, and AI-powered insights, I want to ensure that Canadian players can be recognized without leaving home, and that schools and teams across the country can showcase their impact on a national stage.
In the long term, my vision is a future where opportunity in Canadian sports is defined not by where you play, but by how you play."

Dorian's Vision
As a Computer Science student at Caltech and a 2025 BC Boys Basketball MVP, I've seen both sides of the game: the power of technology to bring people together and the challenges that high school athletes in British Columbia face when trying to be recognized. Too many players work tirelessly yet go unseen, not because of a lack of talent, but because there isn't a platform built to showcase them.
Through VESP, my vision is to change that. I want to help build a platform that coaches can trust, where players can be seen, and where the athletic community can come together like never before. My goal is to create technology that tells the story behind every stat, every highlight, and every game, helping athletes and teams share their journey with the world.
By combining my passion for software engineering with my love for sports, I hope to give back to the community that shaped me and help ensure that every athlete in BC has the opportunity to be seen, supported, and celebrated.
